PRIVACY — How your information is handled

Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, where it goes and how long it stays — and what you can do about it.

Last updated

The short version
  • This site sets no cookies of its own. Google AdSense, which shows the ads, does — and you can switch personalised ads off (section 6).
  • The forms send only what you type into them. I don’t sell or rent the details you give me.
  • A review shows only your name, the service, your rating and your words — and only after I approve it. Everything else you write stays private.
  • Conversations with the AI assistant are processed by its platform and AI providers. Please don’t share anything sensitive with it.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you: hello@aqhsn.com.
01

Who I am

aqhsn.com is the personal website of Aqib Hassan, a digital systems builder based in Pakistan. I decide how the information described here is used, which makes me responsible for it — the “controller”, in data-protection terms.

Two of the systems behind the site — the lead management system that receives contact enquiries, and the AI assistant — are platforms I built for Social Expert Digital LLC, the company I work with, and they run on its infrastructure (section 4).

02

What’s collected, and why

The contact form

When you send an enquiry, I receive your name and email address, the kind of help you need, and — if you add them — your company or website, your message and a budget. It goes straight from this site’s server into SED LMS, the lead management system I built for Social Expert Digital LLC, marked as coming from aqhsn.com. I use it to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. The enquiry itself isn’t stored on aqhsn.com.

Why: to take the steps you asked for before we agree any work, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Reviews

When you leave a review, I receive your name, the service you used, your rating and review, and — if you add them — your email address, criticism and suggestions. They’re stored in this site’s database and emailed to me so I can approve or decline the review.

If I approve it, only your name, the service, your rating, your review and the date appear on the site. Your email address, criticism and suggestions are never published. Your IP address is used briefly, only in the server’s memory, to stop spam floods; it isn’t stored.

Why: your consent to publication, which you can withdraw (section 7), and my legitimate interest in improving my work.

The AI assistant

The assistant on each page runs on a platform I built for Social Expert Digital LLC. When you talk to it:

  • Your messages — typed, or spoken and turned into text — and its replies are processed by the platform and stored as a conversation transcript. Replies are generated by Google’s Gemini AI models, and spoken replies are voiced by Inworld AI.
  • Voice is optional. Your browser asks for microphone access first, and your speech is turned into text by the browser’s own speech-recognition service — in Google Chrome, that service is Google’s. You can always type instead.
  • If you share contact details — to be called back, for example — they’re stored with the conversation so I can follow up.
  • A random session ID is kept in your browser so the conversation can carry on from page to page, and the assistant loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when it does.

The assistant can make mistakes, and it isn’t the place for anything sensitive — health, financial or identity details, for example.

Why: to answer the questions you ask it, and my legitimate interest in following up enquiries.

Advertising

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. To choose, measure and protect those ads, Google and its partners collect information from your browser — including cookies, device and browser details, your IP address and the page you’re on — under Google’s own privacy policy. Section 6 explains how to control it.

Why: your consent where the law requires it — for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland — and otherwise my legitimate interest in funding the site.

Usage events

The site records simple, cookie-free events so I can tell what’s useful: which page was viewed, which button or demo was used, and when. They carry no name, email address or advertising identifier, and I don’t combine them with anything else about you.

Server logs and email

Like every web server, the one hosting this site — run by Hostinger — records technical details of each request: IP address, browser, page and time. These logs keep the site running and secure. If you email me, your message and address arrive in my mailbox, which Hostinger also hosts.

Why: my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

03

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies of its own. This is everything that can be stored in your browser while you use it:

Google AdSense cookies
Set by Google on this site and on Google’s own domains — for example __gads and __gpi.To show and measure ads, limit how often you see them, fight ad fraud and — with your consent where it’s required — personalise them. Controlled by Google (section 6).
aqhsn-theme
Local storage, set by this site — only if you switch to light mode.Remembers your choice. Stays until you clear this site’s data.
sed-sess-…
Local storage, set by the AI assistant.A random ID that keeps your conversation together across pages. Stays until you clear this site’s data.

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The site works without them; only the ads change.

04

Who receives it

I don’t sell or rent your personal information. It reaches these service providers only as far as they need it to run the site:

Hostinger
Hosts the website, its database of reviews, and email.
Social Expert Digital LLC
Operates SED LMS, which receives contact enquiries, and the AI assistant’s platform.
Supabase
Database and cloud functions behind SED LMS and the AI assistant.
Google
AdSense advertising; Gemini AI models for the assistant’s replies; Google Fonts for the assistant; and speech recognition if you use voice in Chrome.
Inworld AI
Turns the assistant’s replies into speech.

I may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors from fraud and abuse.

05

How long it’s kept

Contact enquiries
As long as needed to reply and, if we work together, for the project and the records the law requires — then deleted.
Reviews
Approved reviews stay published until you ask me to take them down. Their email address, criticism and suggestions are deleted from the site’s database 90 days after approval.Declined reviews, and reviews whose approval link expired unused, are deleted after 90 days. The copy emailed to me stays in my inbox until I delete it.
Assistant conversations
As long as needed to answer, follow up and keep the assistant working well. Ask me and I’ll delete yours (section 7).
Usage events and logs
Kept for a limited period for operations and security, then deleted.
Browser storage
Until you clear this site’s data. Ad cookies follow Google’s own schedules.
06

Advertising and your choices

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, personalised ads are shown only with your consent. Where Google shows you a consent message, you can change your choice at any time. Opting out doesn’t remove ads; the ones you see just won’t be based on your interests.

07

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • see the personal information I hold about you, and get a copy of it;
  • have it corrected if it’s wrong;
  • have it deleted — including taking down a review you wrote;
  • object to how I use it, or ask me to limit it;
  • withdraw consent you’ve given, at any time — this doesn’t affect anything done before;
  • opt out of personalised advertising (section 6).

To use any of these, email hello@aqhsn.com — from the address you used, if you can, and say which enquiry, review or conversation you mean. I may need to confirm it’s really you, and I’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with my answer, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

I don’t sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat personalised advertising as “sharing”; you can opt out of it as described in section 6.

08

Where it’s processed

Your information may be processed outside your country — including in Pakistan, where I’m based, and in the United States, where several of the providers above run their services. Wherever it’s processed, it’s handled as this policy describes.

09

How it’s protected

Every page is served over HTTPS. Form keys and passwords stay on the server, never in your browser. Approving a review takes both a private single-use link and a code from an authenticator app, and repeated wrong codes lock approvals. No system is perfectly secure, but these measures are there to keep your information safe.

10

Children

This site is meant for businesses and adults. It isn’t directed at children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, email hello@aqhsn.com and I’ll delete it.

11

Changes to this policy

When what the site collects changes, this policy changes with it. The date at the top shows the current version, and significant changes are noted on this page.
